Summer is all about the mangoes n mangoes n mangoes, our summer starts with mango and ends with mango, we could smell the mangoes and feels it way to have it. In India we have huge variety of recipes like desserts, pickle, savoury and more.. Aam panna made from unripe green tart mangoes with the spices and black salt is not just good for digestion but also brings sweet and salty flavours. It has good nutritional values which anybody can have it. 

What do you need?
Presume cooker to boil green mangoes or coal ashes/burner to soften it.
Blender to blend mint leaves.
Bowl to mix the ingredients
Strainer & Glass to serve

How do you serve it?
Serve it in the glass and garnish it with the bundi & mint leaf. 

Recipe

Serves 2  Prep Time: 15 Minutes  


Ingredients

  • 1 palm size green mango (kacha aam in hindi)
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon black salt
  • 1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoon boondi
  • 500 ml water
  • 2-4 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon jaggery or sugar.
  • Salt to taste

  1. Take the green mango and boil it in a pressure cooker by adding 1 glass of plain water or you can also put the green mango directly into the coal ashes or on a gas burner.
  2. Blend 1 cup of fresh mint leaves with 1 spoon of water.
  3. Once green mango get boiled, add water and put it in a bowl with mint paste.
  4. You can use smasher or use your hand to smash properly.
  5. Add Black salt, plain salt, roasted cumin powder & jaggery/sugar to taste(optional only if you like the sweetness).
  6. Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl or shaker and strain the mixture in a jug.
  7. Serve cool by adding ice cubes and spoon of boondi in the glass and garnish it with the fresh mint leaf, and stay cool & healthy!
